I am Assistant Manager – Applications at Virtual Remittance Gateway in Karachi, where I lead the team behind payment switch and USSD platforms connecting Pakistan's banks and telecom operators. I led the national Agent Interoperability Project from specification to rollout, contributed to the AASAN Mobile Account Scheme, and oversaw an SBP audit and Oracle 19c upgrade. I also represented Pakistan at the World Economic Forum 2024. My mission is to build secure, reliable financial technology that reaches everyone in Pakistan, especially underserved communities. I believe interoperable, inclusive payment systems can bring millions more people into the formal economy. I applied for the Future Leader Award because I want to grow from leading implementations to shaping how Pakistan's digital payment infrastructure is designed. I started my career in IT support, and I want to mentor young engineers from similar backgrounds. This award would give me the platform and network to create a larger impact on financial inclusion.
