Prof. Dr. Sheeraz Arif is a Professor of Computer Science and an accomplished academic, researcher, and technology leader with over 22 years of experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and innovation. I hold a PhD in Information and Communication Engineering and has served in key academic leadership roles, including Dean and Head of Department of the Faculty of Information Technology. I am applying for the Young Future Awards – IT-Tech & Academia to have my contributions to education, research, technology, academic leadership, and societal innovation recognized and to further strengthen my commitment to developing Pakistan's future generation of technology professionals and researchers. I aim to use emerging technologies and research innovation to create meaningful, practical, and socially impactful solutions for Pakistan and beyond My academic and research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Healthcare AI, and emerging computing technologies. I have contributed to research, Undergraduate and postgraduate supervision, academic program development, industry collaboration, and technology-driven educational initiatives. I have also been actively involved in research projects, international conferences, key-note speaker, academic quality assurance, curriculum development, and professional and research activities. My mission is to contribute to transforming education and academia in Pakistan through innovative teaching, advanced technologies, applied research, and stronger university–industry collaboration. I believe that emerging technologies such as AI, intelligent computing, cybersecurity, and data-driven systems should be translated into practical solutions that address real societal challenges and improve people's lives.
