About

The name is Tooba Khan. I am a Software Engineering graduate who chose not to stay within the traditional boundaries of tech. I realised that what excited me most was not technology alone, but what happens when technology, creativity, people, and ideas come together. Today, I work as a Community & Outreach Specialist at National Incubation Center Karachi, where I build partnerships, design entrepreneurship programs, and create spaces that bring founders, investors, students, corporates, and academia together. I have worked on 700+ events, grown NIC Karachi’s community by 209%, built partnerships with 20+ universities and organisations, and facilitated 1,200+ startup and investor meetings, working with organisations including Google Cloud, INSEAD, PASHA, PAFLA, The Asia Foundation, and the U.S. Consulate General Karachi. But if you ask me what I actually do, I would say I build bridges. I connect people to opportunities, ideas to the right people, and sometimes, people to a version of themselves they did not know they were capable of becoming. Whether it is designing a bootcamp, connecting a university to an opportunity, building a community, or making an unfamiliar space feel more welcoming, I care deeply about the experience people have along the way. My journey has been non-linear. I have co-founded a student career-awareness platform, written for Dawn’s Young World Magazine, managed technology and entrepreneurship events, led hackathons, mentored students, and built programs for founders, freelancers, and young professionals. This taught me that I do not have to fit neatly into one box to build a meaningful career. My long-term goal is to make opportunities more accessible through the programs and communities I build. I applied for the Future Leaders Award to challenge my thinking and explore what I can build that lasts beyond my own involvement. For me, leadership means staying curious, starting before I feel ready, and creating opportunities for others.
